clicking on any of the hyperlinked project ids from the main page's stats table will take you to the chosen report's detail page (as illustrated in figure 1 and 2).

The main section (panel) of Reports Dashboard Pro's project detail page contains the following elements:

A: Toggle Buttons (panel)

Custom panel that provides toggle capabilities to de-clutter the workspace. Use the toggle buttons to hide/show the gantt chart/Statistics overview sections.

B: Print Gantt Chart (panel)

Custom panel that provides the ability to print out the entire gantt chart.

C: Export Gantt Chart (panel)

Custom panel that provides the ability to export the gantt chart to Excel. An example is shown below.



You may, by now, have noticed that all the tasks and milestones within the gantt chart start on the same day. This is, by default, how ProjectFork works. ProjectFork does not provide the ability to specify a task or milestone start date. In fact, whenever you create a new milestone or task it's start date is the same as it's creation date.

To overcome this we have created a number of custom mods that introduce an independent start date for projects, tasks and milestones.

This mod is not included in the purchase of Reports Dashboard Pro. It is currently being migrated to be compatible with PF version 3.0.x and will be released free of charge.

Apart from the obvious benefits of having the ability to specify a project, task and/or milestone start date, the generated gantt charts would be more intuitive.

Apart from the at-a-glance visual benefits of gantt charts there are many more benefits to be had. Most of these benefits will be realised in the next version of ANGEK DESIGN's Reports Dashboard Pro and will include:

  • the ability to rename tasks and milestones directly from within the gantt chart
  • the ability to delete tasks and milestones directly from within the gantt chart
  • the ability to edit a task and milestone start date and duration (end date)
  • the ability to set the % completion of tasks from within the gantt chart

and a little further down the track provide the ability to add successor tasks, child tasks and child milestones but first we need to code the mods to provide this functionality.
