PF Project and File Upload Limiter
Now you can limit the number of projects your users can create and the number of files they can upload!
PF Project and File Upload Limiter is a configurable PF process which can be used to set limits on both the number of Projects users can create and the number of files they can upload.
Installation:
1. Extract the zip file to your hard drive and navigate to the directory created during the extraction process. In the directory you will find 2 zip files. The pf_limiter_process.zip file is the PF process that is installed via Projectfork's installer and the plgSystemPFLimiter.zip file is a Joomla 1.7 plugin that is installed via Joomla's extension manager. Please be sure to enable the Joomla plugin once it has been installed.
Note: If you are not using Filemanager Pro with the ajax uploader enabled you do not need to install the Joomla plugin.
Configuration:
1. Within Projectfork go to config -> Processes and Edit Project and File Limiter Process by entering your required parameters.
2. Within Joomla go to Extensions -> Plug-in Manager and enable the System - PF Limiter plugin.
How to:
Projects Overview Page:
The PF Project and File Upload Limiter process monitors the number of projects that a user has created. If the limit has been reached then the "New" and "Copy" navigation buttons are disabled preventing the user from adding any new projects of copying any existing projects.
Filemanager Pro Overview Page:
The PF Project and File Upload Limiter process monitors the number of files that have already been uploaded by the user. If the limit has been reached then the "New File" navigation button is disabled and the "yellow" ajax upload bar is removed preventing the user from uploading any further files.
Filemanager Pro with ajax upload enabled:
The PF Project and File Upload Limiter process together with the PF Project and File Upload Limiter Joomla Plugin also monitors bulk ajax upload attempts. If the user attempts to bulk upload (via the ajax uploader) more files than they are allowed the remaining files will fail to upload.
Filemanager and Filemanager Pro New File screen:
Once the user has clicked the "New File" navigation button and entered the New File section, the PF Project and File Upload Limiter process monitors the number of times the "Add" button is clicked.
The number of file upload boxes that can be added equals the number of allowed file uploads minus the number of files already uploaded by the user. Once this limit has been reached the "Add" button is disabled.
